Cody Howard founded Sonoran Waters in 2005 with 25+ years of pool design experience behind him. The company began with maintenance and repair work — fixing what other builders had cut corners on. That early work shaped the standard: build pools that hold up.
By the late 2000s the focus shifted to ground-up custom design. Today Sonoran Waters builds across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, and Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Buckeye — with the same design-first process used on day one.
What Sets Us Apart
One team, in-house: design, engineering, permitting, construction, and service. Decisions made by the people who will build the result. No handoff between an architect, a builder, a landscaper, and a service company — the seams that ruin a pool happen at handoffs.
Materials matter. Equipment matters. So does drainage, grading, gas routing, light circuit placement, and how the deck meets the pool coping. We draw all of it before excavation.
The Team
Cody Howard leads design. Project managers handle construction sequencing. Service technicians cover Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and Phoenix on weekly routes. Engineering and permit coordination are handled in-house.
